Life of a King is a 2013 American drama film directed by Jake Goldberger. The film stars Cuba Gooding, Jr., Dennis Haysbert, and Lisa Gay Hamilton. The film tells the true story of Eugene Brown (Cuba Gooding, Jr.), an ex-convict who starts the Big Chair Chess Club for inner-city youths in Washington, D.C. The film debuted at the 2013 Los Angeles Film Festival and had its general American release on January 17, 2014 by Millennium Entertainment. Life of a King received mixed reviews from critics. World War Z is a 2013 American disaster zombie film directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard, and Damon Lindelof is from a screen story by Carnahan and J. Michael Straczynski, based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Max Brooks. The film stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a former United Nations investigator who must travel the world to find a way to stop a zombie pandemic. Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment secured the film rights in 2007, and Forster was approached to direct. In 2009, Carnahan was hired to rewrite the script. Filming began in July 2011 in Malta, on an estimated $125 million budget, before moving to Glasgow in August 2011 and Budapest in October 2011. Originally set for a December 2012 release, the production suffered some setbacks. In June 2012, the film’s release date was pushed back, and the crew returned to Budapest for seven weeks of additional shooting. Damon Lindelof was hired to rewrite the third act, but did not have time to finish the script, and Drew Goddard was hired to rewrite it. The reshoots took place between September and October 2012. World War Z premiered in London on June 2, 2013 and was chosen to open the 35th Moscow International Film Festival. The film was released on June 21, 2013, in the United States, in 2D and RealD 3D. The film received positive reviews and was a commercial success, grossing over $540 million against a production budget of $190 million. A sequel was announced shortly after the film’s release. A worldwide zombie outbreak erupts in several metropolitan areas around the world; those bitten by the creatures become zombies themselves. Former UN investigator Gerry Lane, his wife Karin, and their two daughters manage to escape the outbreak in Philadelphia and take shelter with a Hispanic family in Newark, while waiting for special evacuation the next day thanks to Gerry’s friend UN Deputy Secretary-General Thierry Umutoni. Their hosts choose not to accompany them when they flee the next day, and are subsequently killed by zombies. Their son, Tommy, manages to escape, and Gerry’s family takes him in. They are flown to an offshore U.S. Navy carrier group where Umuntoni is overseeing the remaining worldwide governments’ reactions. The scientists there believe they must find the first case of the zombie outbreak, believed to be in South Korea. A team is dispatched to go, and Gerry is coerced into going with them under the threat of having his family sent to a potentially unsafe mainland refugee camp. The team lands at Camp Humphreys, where the surviving soldiers hold back zombie attacks: the zombies are fast and vicious, and once bitten, a person turns within seconds. Gerry learns that a Korean doctor was the first to come down with the rabies-like infection, after being bitten by a soldier he was treating whom local villagers had captured when he tried to attack them. A former CIA operative held at the base reveals that Israel had reacted a week before the outbreak, building giant walls around Jerusalem, and suggests that Gerry talk to Mossad agent Jurgen Warmbrunn. This Is Martin Bonner 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

This Is Martin Bonner is an American drama film written and directed by Chad Hartigan. The film stars Paul Eenhoorn as Martin Bonner, a man in his late 50s forced to relocate to Reno, Nevada, for a new job and his attempts to acclimate and make new friends. Through his work at a prison rehabilitation non-profit, he meets Travis Holloway (Richmond Arquette), and the two men form an unlikely friendship. This Is Martin Bonner premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2013, where it won the Audience Award for Best of NEXT. Martin Bonner (Eenhoorn) has just moved to Nevada from Maryland, leaving behind his two adult children and a life he spent more than two decades building. He is there working at a new job as the volunteer coordinator for a non-profit organization that helps prisoners make the transition from incarceration to freedom. It is Martin’s first job in two years and he has recently declared bankruptcy. At the same time, Travis Holloway (Arquette), a prisoner in the program, is being released after serving twelve years. Sent back into the world with nothing, Travis also finds life in Reno difficult to adjust to, despite the help from his program sponsor, Steve Helms. The stories of Martin and Travis slowly converge, as the two men meet and find that they have much in common, not the least of which is an unspoken need for encouragement and support. Monsters University is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.[6] It was directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae, with John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich as executive producers. It is the fourteenth feature film produced by Pixar and is a prequel to 2001’s Monsters, Inc., marking the first time Pixar has made a prequel film. Disney, as the rights holder, had plans for a second Monsters, Inc. film since 2005. Following disagreements with Pixar, Disney tasked its Circle 7 Animation unit to make the sequel.[8] An early draft of the film was developed; however, Disney’s purchase of Pixar in early 2006 led to the cancellation of Circle 7’s version of the film.[9] A Pixar-made sequel was confirmed in 2010,[6] and in 2011, it was confirmed that the film would instead be a prequel titled Monsters University. Monsters University tells the story of two monsters, Mike and Sulley, and their time studying at college, where they start off as rivals, but slowly become best friends. Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Bob Peterson, and John Ratzenberger reprise their roles as Mike Wazowski, James P. Sullivan, Randall Boggs, Roz, and the Abominable Snowman, respectively. Bonnie Hunt, who played Ms. Flint in the first film, voices Mike’s grade school teacher Ms. Karen Graves. The music for the film is composed by Randy Newman, marking his seventh collaboration with Pixar. Monsters University premiered on June 5, 2013 at the BFI Southbank in London, United Kingdom and was released on June 21, 2013, in the United States. It was accompanied in theaters by a short film, The Blue Umbrella, directed by Saschka Unseld.[11] The film received positive reviews and was a box office success, grossing $743 million against its estimated budget of $200 million. A young monster named Michael “Mike” Wazowski dreams of being a scarer (a monster who enters the human world at night to scare children so their screams can be harvested for energy) when he grows up, after visiting Monsters Inc.—Monstropolis’ most profitable and best-known scaring company—on a school field trip. Eleven years later, Mike is a first-year scare major at Monsters University, where he meets a large, blue, furry monster named James P. “Sulley” Sullivan. Mike studies hard while the privileged Sulley – who comes from a family of talented scarers – lazily relies only on his natural ability and begins to falter. As the semester progresses, Mike and Sulley attempt to join a fraternity, but only Sulley gets into the prestigious Roar Omega Roar. At the semester’s final exam, Dean Abigail Hardscrabble fails them both and drops them from the program, stating that Sulley does not study enough – prompting Roar Omega Roar to kick him out – and Mike is simply not scary enough. Mike decides to prove himself by entering the Scare Games, making a wager with the skeptical Hardscrabble where she agrees to readmit the whole team to the scare program if they win, but Mike must leave the school if they lose. He joins Oozma Kappa – the only fraternity that is available to him – to compete, but they are denied entry as they are one team member short. Gru suspects Mexican restaurant owner Eduardo Pérez of being “El Macho”, a legendary supervillain who supposedly died after skysurfing a shark into the center of an active volcano. Gru and Lucy break into Eduardo’s restaurant at night, but find nothing to prove that Eduardo is the culprit. Meanwhile, Agnes expresses her wish to have a mother someday and believes that Gru will fall in love with Lucy. Despite this, Gru tells her that his relationship with Lucy is strictly professional. Gru and Lucy investigate wig merchant Floyd Eagle-san, but Gru is still suspicious of Eduardo, after seeing Eduardo’s two-timing son, Antonio, going out with Margo, and Eduardo inviting everyone to come to his Cinco de Mayo party. After the investigation, Gru is set up on a horrible dinner date with a rude woman named Shannon, who notices Gru’s wig and threatens to humiliate him. Luckily, Lucy bumps into them and rescues him from the date by shooting Shannon with a tranquilizer dart. My Little Pony: Equestria Girls is a 2013 Canadian-American animated musical comedy film and a spin-off of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic animated television series. Written by Meghan McCarthy and directed by Jayson Thiessen, the film premiered across limited screens in the United States and Canada on June 16, 2013, with worldwide home media release that began on August 6, 2013, followed by broadcast on the Hub Network, a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, on September 1, 2013. The film re-envisions the main characters of the series, normally ponies, as human characters in a high school setting. Set between the show’s third and fourth seasons, the film’s plot involves the pony Twilight Sparkle pursuing her stolen crown into an alternate world where she transforms into a human, teenage girl. While learning how to behave as a human, Twilight encounters human counterparts of her pony friends, who help her in her search for her crown. The film’s release is tied in with the expansion of the My Little Pony toy line to include teenage human versions of the main characters, and also commemorates the 30th anniversary of the launch of the original My Little Pony toy line. In mid-February 2014, a sequel titled Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks was announced, with a planned release on September 27, 2014 at various theaters across the United States and Canada. The newly crowned Princess Twilight Sparkle visits the Crystal Empire with her Ponyville friends for a royal summit with Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadance. That night, Twilight’s crown and Element of Magic is stolen by the unicorn Sunset Shimmer, a former student of Celestia. After a chase through the castle, Sunset drops the crown through a magic mirror and follows after it. The princesses inform the ponies that the mirror leads to a different world, and task Twilight with retrieving her crown on the other side before the portal closes again for thirty moons, or else the Elements of Harmony borne by her friends will no longer protect Equestria. Despite Celestia’s insistence that Twilight must travel alone, Twilight’s dragon assistant Spike anxiously jumps in after her as she enters the mirror. In the other world, Twilight and Spike are transformed into a teenage human girl and dog, respectively. While struggling to adjust to her new body, Twilight investigates the nearby Canterlot High School where she encounters several human students and faculty members resembling ponies in Equestria, including her friends Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash. She befriends the five girls, helping to bridge the animosity that Sunset had created between them in the years prior to Twilight’s arrival. Twilight discovers that Fluttershy found the crown and gave it to Celestia, the school principal, who mistakes it for a prop meant for the elected Princess of the upcoming Fall Formal. Twilight decides to run for Fall Formal Princess against Sunset to retrieve the crown. Sunset tries sabotaging Twilight’s campaign first by uploading a humiliating online video of Twilight behaving like a pony, and later framing her for wrecking the formal decorations in the school gymnasium. The Bling Ring 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

The Bling Ring is a 2013 American satirical black comedy crime film based on actual events. Directed, written and produced by Sofia Coppola, it features an ensemble cast including newcomers Israel Broussard, Katie Chang and Claire Julien, as well as Taissa Farmiga and Emma Watson.[4][5][6] Filming began in March 2012. It opened the Un Certain Regard section of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival[7] and released in the United States on June 14 (limited) and on June 21 (nationwide). It received positive reviews, with critics praising Watson’s, Broussard’s and Chang’s performances. The Bling Ring represents the final work of the cinematographer Harris Savides, who died of brain cancer while the film was in post-production. The film is dedicated to him. Quiet teenager Marc Hall (Israel Broussard) arrives as a new student at Indian Hills High School in Agoura Hills, California. He is befriended by fame-obsessed Rebecca Ahn (Katie Chang). While at a party at Rebecca’s house, the pair check unlocked vehicles on the street, taking valuables such as cash and credit cards. When Marc mentions that one of his wealthy acquaintances is out of town, Rebecca suggests they go to his house. Marc is very uncomfortable trespassing. Rebecca steals a handbag, mentioning that her idol, Lindsay Lohan, has the same one. She also steals cash and the keys to a Porsche, which the pair use to flee the scene. With the cash, the two go on a shopping spree, affording themselves the luxury lifestyle they admire in magazines. Marc visits a nightclub with Rebecca and her friends Nicki (Emma Watson), her adopted sister Sam (Taissa Farmiga), and Chloe (Claire Julien), where they rub shoulders with celebrities such as Kirsten Dunst and Paris Hilton. While researching Hilton on the Internet, Marc and Rebecca realize that she will be out of town. The pair go to her house, and finding the key under the doormat, they go through Hilton’s belongings, taking some jewelry. Rebecca then flaunts a stolen bracelet to Nicki, Sam, and Chloe at a party. At Nicki’s request, Rebecca and Marc take her, Sam and Chloe back to Hilton’s house. The group marvels at the excess of Hilton’s lifestyle, and steals shoes, bags, dresses, cash, and jewelry. Marc and Rebecca return to rob Hilton’s house on a third occasion. The pair also decides to rob the home of Audrina Patridge, once again using the Internet to determine when she will not be home. Man of Steel is a 2013 superhero film based on the DC Comics character Superman, co-produced by Legendary Pictures and Syncopy Films, distributed by Warner Bros. Nolan pitched Goyer’s idea after story discussion on The Dark Knight Rises, and Snyder was hired as the film’s director in October 2010. Man of Steel’s red carpet premiere in the United States was attended by its principal cast members in New York City on June 10, 2013. Fukrey (meaning ‘slacker’ or ‘worthless’ in north Indian/Punjabi dialect) is a 2013 Indian coming of age comedy film directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and starring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh, and Priya Anand in the lead roles.[3][4] The story and dialogues are written by Vipul Vig and the screenplay was written by Vig and Lamba. Produced under the Excel Entertainment banner, the film was released on 14 June 2013.[5] Despite a poor opening, the film has gone on to become a sleeper hit. The film is set in Delhi, where four “Fukrey” (a colloquial Punjabi term for slackers) boys,[8] come together to make easy money. The group includes two school backbenchers, Hunny (Pulkit Samrat) and Choocha (Varun Sharma), who are perpetually dreaming of making it big. They want to get into the local college but don’t have the grades. The college guard Pandit (Pankaj Tripathi) tells them that he can leak to them the class XII papers at a rate of Rs. 50,000 per subject. Through Pandit (Pankaj Tripathi) they meet Zafar (Ali Fazal), a former student of the college and a struggling musician. The fourth character is Lali (Manjot Singh), whose father runs a sweet shop. Lali is currently pursuing his degree through correspondence and like Hunny and Choocha also wants to get into the same college but doesn’t have the marks. Pandit tells Lali to donate Rs. 250,000 in the college development fund to get a seat in return. Zafar’s girlfriend, Neetu (Vishakha Singh), has broken up with him and his father is critically ill and needs money for his treatment. The four meet up at Pandit’s office where Hunny explains his scheme. Each night Choocha has a dream, which Hunny later interprets as a lottery number, which they buy and win. And for every rupee invested, they get ten rupees (basically ten times) back. However since now they all together need a lot of money, they need someone to invest lakhs. So, on Zafar’s insistence, Pandit takes them to meet a local gangster, Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadda) where Hunny tells them their scheme. Bholi is ready to invest and Lali also gives his shop papers as mortgage. Bholi tells them to come the next day with the number. However, the same night everyone except Choocha falls asleep. The next morning, Choocha narrates a fake dream which Hunny interprets and gets a number. They go to Bholi and tell the number. But it backfires and Bholi loses her money. Now to recover her money, she gives them a packet containing drug pills which Zafar, Hunny and Lali have to sell at a rave party the same night. She keeps Choocha as security with her. At the party, Police and Narcotics teams conduct a raid and Lali escapes with packet with the police chasing him. Lali manages to fool the police and reaches Neetu’s place. He also sees Zafar there. Neetu throws the drugs down the drain just as the police are about to search her home. The police leave her place warning Lali. Zafar in the meanwhile tells the whole story to Neetu. This Is the End is a 2013 American disaster comedy film written and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg in their directorial debut, starring an ensemble cast including Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Michael Cera and Emma Watson. They play versions of themselves which are to varying degrees fictional, in the aftermath of a global apocalypse. The film was released on June 12, 2013, and was a critical and commercial success. Due to the success of the film, Columbia Pictures had the film re-released on September 6, 2013. Jay Baruchel arrives in Los Angeles to visit his old friend and fellow actor Seth Rogen, who invites Baruchel to attend a housewarming party hosted by James Franco. Baruchel is uncomfortable being around many people he does not know well, so Rogen accompanies him to a convenience store for cigarettes. While at the convenience store, the ground begins to shake and beams of blue light from the sky carry away nearby people, but leave Rogen and Baruchel behind. The two flee back to Franco’s house amid mass chaos, only to find the party undisturbed. Baruchel tries to explain that it is the Apocalypse, but his theory is dismissed. Moments later, the ground shakes again and the partygoers rush outside. The earth splits open in Franco’s yard, swallowing most celebrity partygoers, while Rogen, Baruchel, Franco, Jonah Hill and Craig Robinson survive by running back into the house. They fortify the house, take inventory of their supplies, set up a ration system and await help. The next morning, Danny McBride, who attended the party uninvited and passed out in the bathtub, wakes up first. Not knowing about the crisis, he makes breakfast using the majority of the food in the house. The others awake and tell him of the night’s events, which he does not initially believe until an outsider is decapitated in their presence. Later, Emma Watson, another survivor of the party, returns. However, due to a misunderstanding, she leaves, taking the group’s remaining drinks with her. The film’s plot concerns two teenage assassins named Violet and Daisy, best friends who accept what they think will be a quick and easy job, until an unexpected target throws them off plan. Violet & Daisy is the story of Daisy (Saoirse Ronan) and her surreal and violent journey through New York City as a contract killer together with her volatile partner-in-crime and best friend Violet (Alexis Bledel). The two young assassins face a series of opponents, including one unusually mysterious man named Michael (James Gandolfini), who is their next target. They accept the job to assassinate him from their boss Russ (Danny Trejo) and they plan to use the money to buy dresses from the clothes line of their celebrity idol Barbie Sunday (Cody Horn). Billy McMahon and Nick Campbell seek employment after being laid off from their positions as watch salesmen when their employer goes out of business. Billy then applies for an internship at Google for the two of them, and they are accepted due to their unorthodox interview answers, despite a lack of relevant experience. They are the only interns not of traditional collegiate age. They will spend the summer competing in teams against other interns, also known as “Nooglers”, in a variety of tasks, and only the members of the winning team will be guaranteed jobs with Google. Billy and Nick are teamed with other interns seen as rejects: Stuart, who is usually engrossed in his smart phone; Yo-Yo, a Filipino-American who was homeschooled by a stereotypical overbearing Asian mother; and Neha, an Indian-American who is an enthusiast of nerd-related kink. The team is led by Lyle, who constantly tries to act hip in order to hide his insecurities. Another intern, Graham, bullies Billy and Nick’s team. Mr. Chetty, the head of the internship program, also expresses his doubts about the older men’s abilities. Stuart, Yo-Yo, and Neha see Billy and Nick as useless during a task focused on debugging and send them on a wild goose chase to find the fictional character, Professor X. But later, during a game of Muggle Quidditch against Graham’s team, Billy rallies his team to a comeback that unifies them as a team despite ultimately losing. When the teams are tasked with developing an app, Billy and Nick convince the team to indulge in a wild night out. At a strip club in San Francisco’s Chinatown District, Neha admits to Billy that, despite her rich fantasy life, she has no real-world experience and is nervous. With his support, she decides to stay. Nick gets Yo-Yo to break out of his shell by drinking and receiving lap dances. And, encouraged by Billy, Lyle approaches one of the dancers, Marielena, who is also a dance instructor at Google on whom he had developed a crush. Much Ado About Nothing is a 2012 American romantic comedy film adapted for the screen, produced, and directed by Joss Whedon, from William Shakespeare’s play of the same name. The film stars Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, Reed Diamond, Fran Kranz, Sean Maher, and Jillian Morgese. To create the film, director Whedon established the production studio Bellwether Pictures. It premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and had its North American theatrical release on June 21, 2013. The plot of the film is largely unchanged from that of Shakespeare’s original play.[4] Differences include the modern-day setting, switching Conrade’s gender, eliminating several minor roles and consolidating others into Leonato’s aide, and expanding Ursula’s role by giving her a number of Margaret’s scenes. In addition, the film attempts to add background to the relationship between Beatrice and Benedick by showing, in an opening scene, a morning after they apparently slept together. Benedick steals away quietly while Beatrice pretends to be asleep. Principal photography started mid-October 2011,[9] and took place at Joss Whedon’s residence in Santa Monica, California.[10] On the choice of location, he told Studio 360, “First of all, my wife built that house. And I knew from the moment I set foot in it that I would want to film something there. Because it’s all in one place, that place informs the mood and the feeling and the look of the picture so much, and I was really already comfortable with that”.[11] Whedon and his wife, Kai Cole, produced the film through their studio Bellwether Pictures.[12][13] It was filmed entirely in a black-and-white palette over a period of 12 days, in conjunction with cinematographer Jay Hunter.[14] Whedon shot it while on a contractual vacation from the post-production of The Avengers.[15] The cast and crew were informed to keep the project a secret until production was finished.[5] They wrapped their last day of filming on October 23, 2011. Hello Herman 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

Hello, Herman is an American drama written by John Buffalo Mailer. Michelle Danner directed the film version, starring Norman Reedus, Garrett Backstrom, Rob Estes and Martha Higareda, which appeared at the 16th Annual Hollywood Film Festival in October 2012. Set in the not so distant future, in the United States, sixteen-year-old Herman Howards makes a fateful decision. He enters his suburban school and kills thirty nine students, two teachers, and a police officer. Just before his arrest he emails his idol, famous journalist Lax Morales, sending him clips of the shootings captured with Herman’s own digital camera. In the clips Herman tells Lax, “I want to tell my story on your show”. Lax, haunted by his own past, is now face to face with Herman. The movie explores why and how a massacre like this can happen in our society, desensitizing in America, youth violence and bullying, the impact the media has on our individual quest for fame, and ultimately our need for connection. Hello Herman holds a 13% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 6 reviews, with a rating average of 4/10.[5] Metacritic has given the film a weighted average score of 27/100, based on 5 reviews, indicating “generally unfavorable reviews”. Sam Adams of Time Out New York said that the most fitting punishment for Hello Herman was to simply ignore its existence: “it barely tries to offer insight into its much-debated subject, content to rip the scab off an ever-fresh wound for the sake of controversy.”[7] The Los Angeles Times’s Amy Nicholson wrote about the incompetence of the director: “we’re not sure what director Michelle Danner, who plays Herman’s defensive mother in an uncredited role, wants us to get besides a reminder that angry boys act out for a host of half-defined reasons.”[8] The Village Voice’s Rob Staeger stated that “the dialogue is all surface: emotions are laid out on the autopsy table for the audience to dissect and analyze, but rarely feel.”[9] The New York Times’s Jeannette Catsoulis finds that “pointing at everything and elucidating nothing, Hello Herman arrives freighted with the anti-bullying agenda of its director, Michelle Danner.” While some critics have struggled to find answers in Hello Herman, many critics have praised the film, recognizing that the movie does not seek to offer an explanation but rather to encourage the discussion of a topic that has gone overlooked for far too long. Sam Kashner of Vanity Fair said that “HELLO HERMAN is a powerful and important work, a darkly brilliant tone poem about America’s tango with violence and fame. Herman will get under your skin. Epic (stylized as epic) is a 2013 American 3D computer animated fantasy action-adventure film[6] loosely based on William Joyce’s children’s book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs.[7] It was produced by Blue Sky Studios, and directed by Chris Wedge, the director of Ice Age (2002) and Robots (2005). The film stars the voices of Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Colin Farrell, Christoph Waltz, Aziz Ansari, Chris O’Dowd, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler, and Beyoncé Knowles. The film was released on May 24, 2013 to mixed critical reception, and earned $268 million on a $93 million budget. 17 year old Mary Katherine, or M.K. (Amanda Seyfried), moves in with her eccentric scientist father Professor Bomba (Jason Sudeikis) who has been searching for tiny humanoid soldiers called Leafmen. They protect the forest Bomba lives near from evil creatures called Boggans and their malevolent leader Mandrake (Christoph Waltz). An independent young soldier named Nod (Josh Hutcherson) decides to quit much to the ire of the no-nonsense Leafmen leader Ronin (Colin Farrell). The queen of the forest, Queen Tara (Beyoncé Knowles), must choose an heir to her throne and goes out to a field of leaf pods, guarded by a laid-back slug named Mub (Aziz Ansari) and a wannabe Leafman snail named Grub (Chris O’Dowd). Immediately after she chooses a pod, the Boggans attack. Tara flees the area with the pod, and though her bodyguards do their best to protect her, they are soon overwhelmed by the sheer number of Boggans. Eventually, Ronin arrives for her and the pair fly off on his hummingbird mount. They are then attacked by Mandrake and his son Dagda (Blake Anderson). Dagda is killed by Ronin, but Tara is shot with an arrow by Mandrake. Meanwhile, M.K. decides to leave after having an argument with Bomba about his research. Before she can leave, Bomba’s dog Ozzy runs into the woods. While looking for Ozzy, M.K. sees Tara falling. Dying, Tara gives her the pod and uses her magic to shrink her. She tells M.K. to take the pod to a Glowworm named Nim Galuu before she dies, and M.K. joins Ronin and the Leafmen, along with Mub and Grub. Ronin discovers that Nod has entered a race against other creatures and bugs on birds. He goes back on a deal with a tough bullfrog named Bufo (Pitbull) to lose the race. Before Bufo and his two henchmen can feed Nod to a snake for not throwing the race, Ronin intervenes and orders them to leave.
