Special 26 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

Special 26, also known as Special Chabbis, is a 2013 Indian thriller heist film directed by Neeraj Pandey. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles with Jimmy Shergill, Manoj Bajpai and Anupam Kher in supporting roles. The film is inspired by a real-life heist on 19 March 1987 where a group posing as CBI officers executed an income tax raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri in Mumbai. The film opens on the date 18 March 1987, where a walk-in CBI interview is taking place, held by the characters of Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher. The film then goes into flashback. Ajay Singh (Akshay Kumar) calls a local police station to obtain more manpower for a CBI raid. He speaks to SI Ranveer Singh (Jimmy Shergill) who agrees to send the required number of support officers. Ajay, along with accomplices P.K Sharma (Anupam Kher), Joginder (Rajesh Sharma), and Iqbal (Kishor Kadam), meet the support officers and conduct the raid. Following the successful raid at a minister’s house, it’s revealed that Ajay and Sharma are fake CBI officers, along with their two accomplices. They then move to different parts of the country from which they’re from and merge into their everyday lifestyles. Ajay’s love interest, Priya (Kajal Aggarwal), an about-to-be-married teacher is introduced here. The crew meets again in Chandigarh at the behest of Sharma for his daughter’s wedding. Ranveer with his senior officer meet the minister of the earlier raid, who reveals that he doesn’t want the news to appear in the public domain because he wants to protect his image. The senior officer suspends Ranveer with his colleague Shanti (Divya Dutta) for being irresponsible. CBI officer Waseem Khan (Manoj Bajpai) is introduced, who lives with his wife (Neetu Singh) and child in New Delhi. He apprehends a criminal named Gupta, which gives an insight into his character. A disgraced Ranveer meets Khan, and they decide to join hands to apprehend Ajay and his fellow criminals. Meanwhile, the next raid planned by Ajay is conducted on a traders’ business in Bara Bazar in Kolkata posing as officers from the Income Tax Department. Following the more difficult but successful raid, Khan insists that this should be reported in the newspaper, despite nobody coming forward to report it themselves, as black money is involved. Upon seeing this in the newspaper, Ajay and Sharma decide to conduct their “big job”, a final raid in Mumbai. After the second income tax raid, the story briefly focuses on Ajay and Priya, with the latter’s marriage being planned. She insists to go with Ajay for the final job, but he tells her to meet him at the airport at 4 pm on the day. Meanwhile, Ranveer finds information about Sharma, and Khan orders wire-tapping his phone. This is successful as, when Sharma is talking to Ajay on the phone, Khan procures several details about them, including the names Joginder and Iqbal and ‘Ajju’ (Ajay’s nickname). As a result, under Khan’s orders, officers successfully track the crew to Mumbai to a hotel in which they’re staying. They plan to raid and hence rob a big jewellery store. (Source: Wikipedia)

Side Effects 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

Side Effects is a 2013 American psychological thriller film directed by Steven Soderbergh from a screenplay written by Scott Z. Burns. The film stars Jude Law, Rooney Mara, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Channing Tatum. The film concerns the ramifications of an event following a young woman being prescribed antidepressant drugs, in particular the fictional new drug Ablixa (alipazone). To promote the movie, a website for Ablixa was created, and Jude Law answered questions by email. Side Effects was released in the United States on February 8, 2013. Emily Taylor’s (Rooney Mara) husband Martin (Channing Tatum) is released after serving a four-year prison sentence for insider trading. Shortly afterward, Emily drives her car into a concrete wall in an apparent suicide attempt. Jonathan Banks (Jude Law), her assigned psychiatrist, fears for her safety but agrees to her release from the hospital as long as she attends sessions with him on a regular basis. Emily tries a series of antidepressant medications, but none of them work. Jonathan contacts Emily’s previous psychiatrist, Victoria Siebert (Catherine Zeta-Jones), who suggests that Jonathan put Emily on a new drug called Ablixa. Jonathan is reluctant to put Emily on the experimental drug until she attempts suicide a second time by trying to jump onto a subway track. The medication works, enabling Emily to function normally besides occasional sleepwalking episodes, a side effect of the drug. One evening, she stabs Martin to death while sleepwalking. Emily is brought to trial, and Jonathan fights for her acquittal. He is criticized publicly for fumbling Emily’s case, and his colleagues assume he has been negligent due to his heavy workload. Emily eventually agrees to plead insanity; she is declared not guilty on the condition that she stays in a mental institution until cleared by a psychiatrist. Due to the case’s bad publicity, Jonathan’s career is left in ruins. However, he sets out to clear his name and uncovers evidence that not only did Emily fake her suicide attempts, but also she was involved in a criminal conspiracy with Victoria. Jonathan interviews Emily after administering what he claims is a truth serum. Emily behaves as if she’s groggy from the drug, which unbeknownst to her is actually a placebo. Identity Thief is a 2013 American crime comedy film directed by Seth Gordon, written by Craig Mazin, and starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.[3] The film tells a story about a man (Bateman) whose identity is stolen by a woman (McCarthy). Sandy Patterson (Jason Bateman) is an account processor who gets a call from a woman (Melissa McCarthy) telling him that someone had attempted to steal his identity. She tells him about an identity protection service and asks him for his name, date of birth, and social security number. Sandy gives her his information, but little does he know that his identity is actually about to be stolen. At work, Sandy gets called in by his obnoxious boss, Harold Cornish (Jon Favreau), and told to prepare bonus checks for the company partners worth $1.2 million each. As Sandy goes to do so, he gets a phone call saying he has an appointment at a salon on Friday in Winter Park, Florida. Despite his confusion, as he is in Denver, he puts it out of his mind when he has a conversation with his co-worker, Daniel Casey (John Cho), who tells him to meet him in the parking lot. In the parking lot with other employees, Daniel informs Sandy that he and the others are tired of working for Cornish while he and the partners get all the money, so they propose to start their own firm, taking most of the company’s clients in Denver with them. Daniel asks Sandy if he’ll join them, telling him he is the best at what he does and that he would be paid $250,000 per year if he joined. Sandy then agrees to join Daniel in the new business and later tells his wife who is overjoyed at the news. Meanwhile, Diana, the woman who had originally called Sandy, ran up a bill to over $2,400 on a fake credit card she had made using the information Sandy had given her, including buying jewellery, a jet ski, and drinks for everyone at a bar in Winter Park, before getting arrested for drunkenly assaulting the bartender with a punch to the throat. The next day Sandy tries to get gas using his real credit card, but his card is declined and the gas station clerk cuts it up. He calls the credit card company and is told he’s spent a lot of money in Florida. As this happens, he gets arrested. At the same time in Florida, Diana continues splurging with Sandy’s money. At a police station, Detective Reilly (Morris Chestnut) tells Sandy that he missed a court date in Florida for assault. They pull up a mug shot of Diana from her arrest and determine she’s stolen Sandy’s identity. It gets worse at work when Daniel says cops are asking about him possessing drugs. Reilly and other cops show up and say a card with Sandy’s name was used to buy drugs from a man named Paolo (Jonathan Banks). When told they can’t do anything unless the identity thief was standing there in Denver with them, Sandy offers to go on his own, bring her there and get her to talk to Daniel to clear his name. I Give It a Year is a 2013 British comedy film, written and directed by Dan Mazer and starring Rose Byrne, Rafe Spall, Anna Faris and Simon Baker. The film was based and filmed in London and was released on 8 February 2013. I Give It a Year was Mazer’s directorial debut. He was previously been best known for co-writing the Sacha Baron Cohen films Borat and Brüno. Ambitious high-flyer Nat (Rose Byrne) and struggling writer Josh (Rafe Spall) fall in love at first sight at a party. After 6 months together they decide to marry. The film highlights their struggles during their first year of marriage, switching back and forth from flashbacks of the year’s action to a counselor’s office. Their wedding goes as planned despite many friends’ comments that the marriage will not last, an embarrassing best man’s speech, and a coughing priest. When Nat returns to work after the honeymoon, she’s embarrassed when Josh calls her during an important conversation to tell her she is sexy and that he misses her. She hangs up abruptly on him, and he goes back to lounging around the house attempting to get over his writer’s block. Later, the two meet with their solicitor to discuss how to handle medical crises (last wishes). Nat becomes annoyed at Josh: knowing she would be late, he told her the wrong time to be there, and thanks to his trickery she actually turned up early. The couple throw a dinner party to use their wedding gifts. Some of their differences are highlighted when they talk about their honeymoon: Nat didn’t enjoy the leather museum; Josh remembers it as interesting. When the topic changes to Josh’s former flame Chloe, Nat discovers that the two never officially broke up when she departed for 4 years in Africa. In the kitchen, Chloe apologizes to Nat for not knowing that she didn’t know. The women talk about the constrictions of marriage. Nat’s sister Naomi has issues with her own husband’s annoying habits. The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia is a 2013 psychological horror film that serves as a brother film to The Haunting in Connecticut by Gold Circle Films. The script was written by David Coggeshall and Tom Elkins served as director. It was released in a limited theatrical run, and through video on demand, on February 1, 2013.[5] The story was inspired by the events surrounding the Wyrick house of Ellerslie, Georgia, which were published in the book The Veil: Heidi Wyrick’s Story. The Wyrick family are delighted to receive a deal on a historic home in rural Georgia where they plan to raise their family free of the complications of city life. As the family settles in, the daughter Heidi (Emily Alyn Lind) starts to have conversations with a man she calls “Mr. Gordy” (Grant James). As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Mr. Gordy is a spirit and one of several that Heidi is interacting with. Her abilities were inherited from her mother’s side and, while her aunt accepts the visions, her mother Lisa (Abigail Spencer) is in complete denial and suppresses her visions with medication. The other spirits that Heidi communicates with are the slaves from the Underground Railroad who were once sheltered in the forest by her house. After every family member has several scary confrontations with ghosts, the slaves lead Heidi to a hidden underground cellar where she discovers their bodies, which are later given a proper memorial. Unfortunately, her trip to the cellar has allowed an evil spirit, the station master and taxidermist, of that Underground Railroad, to target her for his hobby. Heidi has a protector in Mr. Gordy and heeds his warnings and persuades her family to leave. However, they are too late, and the station master kidnaps her. Heidi’s mother Lisa then embraces communication with the dead, and with the help of the slaves, finds her daughter and destroys the station master’s ghost. Sound City is a 2013 documentary film produced and directed by Dave Grohl, in his directorial debut, about the history of recording studio Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, Los Angeles.[2] After the closing credits there is a short, silent segment of a home movie showing a band getting set up. The picture freezes on one person and the following text appears: “In memory of Brian Hauge (1970 – 2012).”[3][4] He was the key grip of the film. In 1991 Nirvana recorded the album Nevermind at Sound City Studios. The band’s drummer Dave Grohl was inspired to create the documentary after he purchased several items from the studio, including the Neve 8028 analog mixing console, when the studio closed in 2011. Sound City Studios was located in the San Fernando Valley, amidst rows of dilapidated warehouses. The little-known recording studio housed a unique analog Neve recording console and had a reputation for recording drums. Artists such as Nirvana, Kyuss, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Rick Springfield, Tom Petty and Slipknot recorded groundbreaking music at the studio. The film tells the story of the studio from its early days in 1969 until its closing in 2011. It then follows Dave Grohl’s purchase of the studio’s custom analog Neve console, which he moved to his personal studio, Studio 606. Rupert Neve is an English engineer who founded Neve Electronics in 1961, designed and manufactured the Neve 8028, “one of four in the world”,[6] and is interviewed by Grohl in the film.[7] Famous musicians who recorded at Sound City reunite at Studio 606 for a jam session and to make an album of “all-new all-original songs, each one composed and recorded exclusively for the film within its own 24-hour session on that console.”[8] It also shows album covers by some bands: Red Hot Chili Peppers’s One Hot Minute, Nirvana’s Incesticide and Nevermind, Rage Against The Machine’s self-titled album and many others. The screenplay by Alessandro Camon was based on the French graphic novel Du Plomb Dans La Tete written by Matz and illustrated by Colin Wilson. The film stars Sylvester Stallone, Sung Kang, Sarah Shahi, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christian Slater, and Jason Momoa. Alexandra Milchan, Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, and Kevin King-Templeton produced the film. The film premiered at the International Rome Film Festival on November 14, 2012.[5] The film received a wide United States release on February 1, 2013. In the city of New Orleans, hitman Jimmy Bobo and his partner Louis Blanchard kill a corrupt policeman, Hank Greely, although Bobo leaves a prostitute, Lola, alive. Later, at a bar, Blanchard is murdered by Keegan, who also attempts to kill Bobo, but fails. Washington, D.C., Detective Taylor Kwon arrives in New Orleans to investigate Greely’s death and meets Lieutenant Lebreton, who informs him Lola confirmed Greely was assassinated. Kwon goes to the morgue, and, after seeing Blanchard’s body and finding out who he is, he deduces that Blanchard and Bobo killed Greely. Meanwhile, Keegan meets with his employer, Robert Morel, and Morel’s lawyer Marcus Baptiste. Baptiste reveals that Greely tried to blackmail Morel, and provided local mobster Baby Jack with a file detailing Morel’s illegal operations. Keegan later kills Baby Jack and his men and retrieves the file. Kwon meets Bobo in a bar and informs him that he knows Bobo and Blanchard killed Greely. Bobo leaves, and when Kwon tries to follow him, he is attacked by corrupt cops who were ordered by Morel to prevent Kwon from further investigating about Greely. Bobo rescues Kwon and takes him to a tattoo parlor, where Bobo’s estranged daughter, Lisa, treats Kwon’s wounds. They later go to a massage parlor where Bobo interrogates Ronnie Earl, the middleman who hired Bobo and Blanchard on Morel’s behalf. Ronnie Earl tries to kill Bobo, but Bobo manages to kill him, although his gun jams. Bobo later confronts Kwon, who admits to having tampered with Bobo’s gun, nearly causing his death. A Good Day to Die Hard is a 2013 American action film and the fifth film of the Die Hard film series. The film was directed by John Moore and written by Skip Woods, and starring Bruce Willis as John McClane. The main plot finds McClane travelling to Russia to get his estranged son, Jack, out of prison, but is soon caught in the crossfire of a terrorist plot. Talks of a fourth sequel to Die Hard (1988) began before the release of Live Free or Die Hard (2007), with Willis affirming that the latter would not be the last in the series, but pre-production did not start until September 2011, when John Moore was officially announced as the director. Filming began in April 2012, primarily in Budapest, Hungary. A Good Day to Die Hard premiered in Los Angeles on January 31, 2013, coinciding with the unveiling of a Die Hard mural at the Fox Lot,[2] and was released in certain East and Southeast Asian territories on February 7 and in the United States and Canada on Wednesday night February 13.[3] It is the first Die Hard film to use Dolby Atmos Surround Mixing and the first to also be released in IMAX theaters. The film was also the first, unlike the previous films, to be a critical disappointment, receiving mostly negative reviews,[4][5] but it nevertheless grossed over three times its budget worldwide. It is the first film produced by TSG Entertainment, since distributor 20th Century Fox’s departure from Dune Entertainment upon the completion of their distribution contract at the end of 2012. In Moscow, Viktor Chagarin (Sergei Kolesnikov), a high-ranking, but corrupt Russian official, plans on incriminating political prisoner, former billionaire and government whistleblower, Yuri Komarov (Sebastian Koch), without a fair trial when Komarov refuses to hand over a secret file believed to have convicting evidence against Chagarin. In a separate incident, Jack McClane (Jai Courtney) is arrested as a result of an assassination attempt but agrees to testify against Komarov for a shorter sentence. John McClane (Bruce Willis), who has not been in touch with his son for several years, learns of his son's actions and travels to Russia to help. When John finally arrives and approaches the courthouse that holds Komarov on trial, a bomb explosion orchestrated by Chagarin and his henchmen occurs in the courthouse, and Jack breaks free with Komarov. Seeing his son, John confronts him, but their dispute is cut short when Chagarin's henchmen, led by Alik (Radivoje Bukvi?), chases them in a Ural Typhoon MRAP on the streets of Moscow. Lone Survivor 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

Lone Survivor is a 2013 American war film written and directed by Peter Berg, and starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster and Eric Bana. The film is based on the 2007 nonfiction book of the same name by Marcus Luttrell and Patrick Robinson. Set during the war in Afghanistan, Lone Survivor dramatizes the failed United States Navy SEALs counter-insurgent mission Operation Red Wings, during which a four-man SEAL reconnaissance and surveillance team was tasked to track Taliban leader Ahmad Shah. Berg first learned of the book Lone Survivor in 2007 while he was filming Hancock. He arranged several meetings with Luttrell to discuss adapting the book to film. Universal Pictures secured the film rights in August 2007 after bidding against other major film studios. In re-enacting the events of Operation Red Wings, Berg drew much of his screenplay from Luttrell’s eyewitness accounts in the book, as well as autopsy and incident reports related to the mission. After directing Battleship for Universal in 2012, Berg returned to work on Lone Survivor. Principal photography began in October 2012 and concluded in November after 42 days; filming took place on location in New Mexico, using digital cinematography. Luttrell and several other Navy SEAL veterans acted as technical advisors, while multiple branches of the United States Armed Forces aided the film’s production. Lone Survivor opened in limited release in the United States on December 25, 2013, before opening across North America on January 10, 2014, to strong financial success and a generally positive critical response. Most critics praised Berg’s direction, as well as the acting, story, visuals and battle sequences. Other critics, however, derided the film for focusing more on its action scenes than on characterization. Lone Survivor grossed over $149.2 million in box-office revenue worldwide—of which $125 million was from North America. The film received two Academy Award nominations for Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing. In Afghanistan, Taliban leader Ahmad Shah is responsible for killing over twenty United States Marines, as well as villagers and refugees who were aiding American forces. In response to these killings, a United States Navy SEALs unit is ordered to execute a counter-insurgent mission to capture Shah. As part of the mission, a four-man SEAL reconnaissance and surveillance team is tasked with locating Shah. These four SEALs include team leader Michael P. “Murph” Murphy; snipers Marcus Luttrell and Matthew “Axe” Axelson; and communications specialist Danny Dietz. (Source: Wikipedia)

Race 2 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

Race 2 is a Bollywood action thriller film directed by Abbas-Mustan and produced under the Tips Music Films banner. It is the sequel to the 2008 film, Race and stars an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan reprising their roles as Robert D’Costa and Ranveer Singh respectively, while Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel are new additions to the cast. Bipasha Basu reprised her role of Sonia Martin in a special appearance.[4] Made on a budget of INR600 million (US$10 million),[2] Race 2 was released on 25 January 2013 and opened to mixed reviews from critics and highly positive response at the box office, earning INR1.62 billion (US$27 million) worldwide. The film was the first one to enter the domestic and worldwide; Bollywood’s 100 Crore Club in 2013. According to Box Office India, it was a Hit worldwide. A robbery takes place and European printing plates are stolen. Ranvir Singh (Saif Ali Khan) sees this news on TV and decides to take advantage of this to get revenge for a past matter. Ranveer cons Vikram Thapar (Rajesh Khattar) by pretending to have stolen the Euro printing plates, and his plan is successful. He cons Vikram so badly that he is divested of the five casinos that he owns in Istanbul, Turkey. This con is revealed to be a plan that Ranveer made a week earlier with ex-street fighter and current casino mogul Armaan Malik (John Abraham). Ranveer was introduced to Armaan by his friend Robert “RD” D’Costa (Anil Kapoor) and his dimwitted assistant Cherry (Ameesha Patel). After the con, Ranveer gives Armaan ownership of Thapar’s five casinos in exchange for 10% of the money. With this deal, Ranveer and Armaan become friends. Ranveer also romances Armaan’s half-sister Alina (Deepika Padukone), who is his 50% business partner in all his ventures and spent a night with him to start their partnership. At a party hosted by Armaan and Alina, Ranveer meets Armaan’s girlfriend Omisha (Jacqueline Fernandez) and sees a picture of his deceased wife Sonia (Bipasha Basu) in her wallet. He charms her through matches of archery and fencing where he cuts her dresses without her knowledge and walks away without watching her without dress.
