The Lone Ranger 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

The Lone Ranger is a 2013 American action western film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films and directed by Gore Verbinski. Based on the radio series of the same name, the film stars Johnny Depp as Tonto, the narrator of the events, and Armie Hammer as John Reid (The Lone Ranger). It relates Tonto’s memories of the duo’s earliest efforts to subdue the immoral actions of the corrupt and bring justice in the American Old West. William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, Ruth Wilson, James Badge Dale, Tom Wilkinson and Helena Bonham Carter also are featured in supporting roles. It is the first theatrical film featuring the Lone Ranger and Tonto characters in more than 32 years.[4] Filming was plagued with production problems and budgetary concerns, which at one point led to the film’s premature cancellation.[5] The film was released theatrically in the United States on July 3, 2013. The Lone Ranger received mixed to negative reviews in the United States and mixed to positive reviews outside the country. Critics praised the acting performances, western style, but criticized the long length and lack of originality. It was a Box office bomb, grossing $260 million worldwide against an estimated $225 million production budget plus an additional $150 million marketing budget. The film received two Academy Award nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup and Hairstyling. At a sideshow in a San Francisco fair in 1933, a boy, Will, who idolizes a legend known as the Lone Ranger, encounters Tonto, an odd and elderly Comanche Native American who poses as a mannequin. Tonto proceeds to recount his experiences with that Old West adventurer. In 1869 Colby, Texas, lawyer John Reid returns home via the uncompleted Transcontinental Railroad, managed by railroad tycoon Latham Cole. Unknown to Reid, the train is also carrying Tonto and outlaw Butch Cavendish, who is being transported for his hanging after being captured by Dan Reid, John’s Texas Ranger brother. Cavendish’s gang rescues Butch and derails the train. Tonto is subsequently jailed. Dan deputizes John as a Texas Ranger, and with six others they go after the Cavendish gang. Cavendish’s men ambush and kill their pursuers in a canyon and Cavendish cuts out and eats Dan’s heart. Tonto, who has escaped from jail, comes across the dead men and buries them. However, a white spirit horse awakens John as a “spirit walker,” and Tonto explains John cannot be killed in battle. Tonto also tells him Collins, one of the Rangers, betrayed Dan and is working with Cavendish, whom Tonto believes is a “wendigo.” As John is thought to be dead, he wears a mask to protect his identity from enemies. After Earth is a 2013 American science fiction action adventure film directed by M. Night Shyamalan, which he co-wrote with Gary Whitta, based on an original story idea by Will Smith. It is the second film (the first being The Pursuit of Happyness) that stars real-life father and son Will and Jaden Smith; with Will Smith also producing via his company Overbrook Entertainment and the distribution by Columbia Pictures. The film was released in IMAX on May 31, 2013. It received negative reviews from critics, citing the acting performances and lack of originality. Despite being a notable summer flop in North America, the film unexpectedly performed well overseas, becoming a commercial success. In the future, an environmental cataclysm forces the human race to abandon Earth and settle on a new world, Nova Prime. One thousand years later, the United Ranger Corps, a peacekeeping military commanded by General Cypher Raige, comes into conflict with alien creatures who intend to conquer Nova Prime. Their primary weapons are the Ursas: large, blind predatory multi-limbed creatures that hunt by sensing pheromones the human body secretes when scared (they literally smell fear). The Rangers struggle against the Ursas until the impassive Cypher learns how to completely suppress his fear, in effect becoming invisible to the Ursa—a technique called “ghosting.” After teaching this act to the other Rangers, he leads the Ranger Corps to eventual victory. Meanwhile, Cypher’s son Kitai blames himself for the death of his older sister Senshi at the hands of an Ursa attack some years ago when he was a young child. The father and son have an estranged relationship with Cypher being away on missions. Kitai, younger and smaller than most cadets, trains to become a staunch and respected Ranger like his father. Despite his physical capabilities, his application is rejected due to his emotional behavior, and he has to break the news to Cypher, who’s seemingly disappointed in him. Kitai’s mother Faia convinces her husband to connect more with their son, and Cypher decides to take Kitai on his last voyage before retirement. During space flight, their ship is caught by an asteroid shower, forcing them to transport through a wormhole to safety and crash-land on the now-quarantined Earth. Inside the torn fuselage of the ship, only Kitai (strapped to a walled row of seats) and Cypher (with both legs broken) have survived. They find the main distress signal beacon is damaged. Cypher instructs Kitai to locate the tail section of the ship, which broke off on entry to the atmosphere, since inside it is another distress beacon, which they can use to signal the Rangers for a rescue; if he fails, the pair will face a most certain death. The English Teacher is a 2013 American romantic comedy film[3] directed by Craig Zisk. The film stars Julianne Moore, Greg Kinnear and Michael Angarano, and was written by Dan and Stacy Chariton. Linda Sinclair (Moore) is a high school English teacher in the small town of Kingston, Pennsylvania. She is passionate about her subject and popular with her students, but lives alone in a simple existence. When her former pupil Jason Sherwood (Angarano) returns after failing to succeed as a playwright, Linda convinces him to produce his play at the school. Jason’s overbearing father, Dr. Tom Sherwood (Kinnear), pressures him to attend law school instead.[4][5][6] Complications arise after Linda sleeps with Jason, which affects her and everyone around her including the play. he English Teacher was first announced in September 2011.[6] It was Zisk’s feature film directorial debut, following his work on several television shows including Weeds, The Big C, Scrubs and The United States of Tara. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 26, 2013, followed by a US theatrical release on May 17.[9] It was released in 7 theaters, and earned $104,810 domestically at the box office, and $61,949 in foreign countries, for a worldwide gross of $166,759.[1] The film also had a video on demand release. The English Teacher received predominantly negative reviews. Review-aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes reports that 42% of reviews were positive, based on 33 reviews, with an average rating of 5.4/10. The Look of Love 2013 Movie Storyline/Plot

The Look of Love is a 2013 British biopic of Paul Raymond, directed by Michael Winterbottom. It stars comedian Steve Coogan as Raymond. The story opens in London in 1992. Paul Raymond (Steve Coogan) returns to his flat after attending the funeral of his daughter Debbie (Imogen Poots). Raymond plays a videotape of a TV programme he and Debbie took part in and reflects on their lives. In a flashback to the late 1950s, Raymond is an impresario on the seaside variety show circuit, where he is making a name for himself by adding semi-nude women to his stage acts. After a lion attacks the show’s dancers, his wife Jean (Anna Friel) joins the show. When the Daily Sketch claims that Jean performed nude, Raymond sues the newspaper unsuccessfully but appreciates the ensuing publicity, after which Raymond launches his London strip club, the Raymond Revue Bar. Its success allows him to expand his property empire and also indulge in a playboy lifestyle, which his wife tolerates. In the early 1970s, Raymond moves into theatrical revues and casts aspiring actress Amber St. George (Tamsin Egerton) in a nude revue. Raymond moves in with her and his marriage to Jean ends. Raymond also agrees to meet a grown son, Derry, he sired out of wedlock, but after an awkward dinner together, he gives Derry no more of his time. Raymond is approached by Tony Power to fund a men’s magazine, Men Only. The magazine is a huge success, in part thanks to roving sex reporter Fiona Richmond, the pseudonym of St. George. Raymond continues to enjoy a hedonistic, coke-fuelled lifestyle. This becomes too much for St. George and their relationship ends. Into this mix, his daughter Debbie is introduced. Initially, Raymond tries to make her a star in his theatrical ventures, but she lacks talent and the show is an unprecedented failure for him. Tony Power introduces her to cocaine, which leads to a downward spiral of substance abuse, in part aided by her father. Debbie marries musician Jonathan Hodge, and when Jean returns for the wedding, she volunteers to pose nude for Raymond’s magazine. Debbie gives birth to a girl, sniffing a line of coke in the delivery room that her father provides. She dies in 1992 of a heroin overdose. After the funeral, Raymond returns home with his granddaughter, pointing out the property he owns that will someday belong to her.
