22 Jump Street is a 2014 American comedy film directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, produced by and starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, and written by Michael Bacall, Oren Uziel, and Rodney Rothman. It is the sequel to the 2012 film 21 Jump Street, based on the television series of the same name. The film was released on June 13, 2014, by Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The film received generally positive reviews, and earned over $308 million at the box office. Two years after their success in the Jump Street program, Morton Schmidt and Greg Jenko are back on the streets chasing drug dealers. They thought by going to actual college that they would be hunting down real criminals once again. However, unannounced to them, they were assigned to an online university, only looking for keywords and phrases during online lectures that might give off any indication of any illegal crime happening around the city. Eventually, they come across the meeting time and location of another powerful gang in the docks. However, after failing in the pursuit of a group of dealers led by the elusive Ghost, Deputy Chief Hardy puts the duo back on the program to work for Captain Dickson—now located across the street at 22 Jump Street. Their assignment is to go undercover as college students and locate the supplier of a drug known as "WHYPHY" that killed a student photographed buying it on campus. At college, Jenko quickly befriends a pair of jocks named Zook and Rooster, two football player fraternity members that become the prime suspects of the investigation. Jenko starts attending parties with the jocks who do not take as kindly to Schmidt. Meanwhile, Schmidt gets the attention of an art student, Maya, by feigning an interest in slam poetry. The two sleep together, to the disapproval of Maya's roommate Mercedes, and it is revealed that Maya is the daughter of the vehemently disapproving Captain Dickson. Despite sleeping together, Maya tells Schmidt not to take it seriously, and he starts to feel left out as Jenko bonds more and more with Zook, who encourages him to join the football team. Sex Tape is a 2014 American comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Kate Angelo, Jason Segel, and Nicholas Stoller. The film stars Segel, Cameron Diaz, Rob Corddry, Ellie Kemper, and Rob Lowe. The film was released on July 18, 2014, by Columbia Pictures. Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) are a couple who have sex at every chance they can get. After having two children, they have fewer opportunities to have sex. While the children are away one night, they try to reignite their sex life. After Jay struggles to get an erection, Annie suggests making a sex tape. They film themselves having sex in every position listed in The Joy of Sex. After Annie asks Jay to delete the tape, he ends up inadvertently synching the video to several iPads the couple had given away over time. After failing to get it out off the cloud, they set out to get back all of the gifted iPads, leading to a series of awkward encounters and close calls. After collecting the iPads and deleting the videos, their neighbor's son threatens to upload their sex tape to YouPorn unless they give him $25,000. After failing to get the money, they break into the YouPorn headquarters and begin to destroy their servers. Their plan is quickly thwarted when an alarm sounds. The owner (Jack Black) and his cronies confront them and threaten to call the police, but agree not to do so in exchange for $15,000 to cover the damage. He also removes their video and explains that they only had to email if they wanted a video removed. After deleting all but one copy of the video, Jay and Annie decide to watch the video once themselves. Edge of Tomorrow 2014 Movie Storyline/Plot

Edge of Tomorrow is a 2014 American military science fiction film starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Doug Liman directed the film based on a screenplay adapted from the Japanese light novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. The film takes place in the near future, where an alien race has invaded the Earth and defeated the world’s military units. It follows Major William Cage (Cruise), a military officer inexperienced in combat, who is deployed into a combat mission against the aliens. Though Cage is killed in minutes, he finds himself starting over in a time loop, repeating the same mission and being killed. Each time, Cage learns to better fight the aliens, and he teams up with Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt) to defeat them. Rights to All You Need Is Kill were bought in late 2009, and a spec script was sold to the American studio Warner Bros. Pictures for production. The studio co-produced the film with the Australian production company Village Roadshow. Filming began in late 2012 and took place mainly at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden outside London. Trafalgar Square in London was also a filming location for some scenes. Nine companies handled the visual effects. The film was released in theaters in 28 territories, including the United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, Spain, India, and Indonesia, on the weekend of May 30, 2014. On the weekend of June 6, 2014, it was released in 36 additional territories, including North America (United States and Canada), Australia, China, and Russia. The film received largely positive reviews from critics. As of August 24, 2014, the film has grossed $364.1 million worldwide. A race of aliens called Mimics has taken over continental Europe. General Brigham (Brendan Gleeson), head of humanity’s United Defense Force, orders Major William Cage (Tom Cruise), a public affairs officer and former advertising executive, to cover combat on the beaches of France during the next day’s assault on the Mimics. Cage objects to the dangerous assignment and threatens to use his public relation skills to turn the public against Brigham when the casualties start increasing from the invasion, for which he is arrested and knocked out. He wakes in handcuffs at a forward operating base at Heathrow Airport and discovers he has been labeled a deserter and put on combat duty for the invasion under the command of Master Sergeant Farell (Bill Paxton). The invasion is a disaster for the humans. Cage dies killing a large Mimic but then wakes up at Heathrow the previous morning. No one believes his story that he knows the invasion will fail. He repeats the loop of dying on the beach and waking at Heathrow until he encounters Sergeant Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), who recognizes his ability to anticipate events and tells him to locate her the next time he “wakes up”. Cage finds Vrataski at Heathrow. Together they meet with Dr. Carter (Noah Taylor), a former government scientist and expert in Mimic biology. Cage learns that the kind of Mimic he killed in his first loop, an “Alpha”, resets time when it is killed to give the Mimics an advantage in battle. Cage inherited this ability when he was doused in the Alpha’s blood as they both died. Vrataski had this ability in a previous battle but lost it after receiving a blood transfusion. She tells Cage that they must hunt the Mimics’ hive mind, the Omega. Over several loops Vrataski trains Cage into a more effective soldier. After getting discouraged from these loops he escapes base to a bar, where he sees the Mimics will overrun humanity after the invasion fails. He and Vrataski spend several loops learning how to survive the battle on the beach and get inland based on his vision of the Omega hiding in a Bavarian Alps dam. After numerous loops end in Vrataski’s death, Cage decides to hunt the Omega alone, abandoning her and the rest of the invasion to doom on the beach. When he arrives at the dam, he discovers that the Omega is not there. He manages to kill himself before an Alpha can steal his blood and prevent him from resetting the day. The Angriest Man in Brooklyn is a 2014 comedy-drama film directed by Phil Alden Robinson. It stars Robin Williams, Mila Kunis, Peter Dinklage, and Melissa Leo. The film follows a physician who accidentally tells her obnoxious patient that he has a brain aneurysm and has only 90 minutes to live. As the patient races around the city, trying to right his wrongs, the doctor attempts to find him as he tries to find what he must do in the final moments of his life. It is a remake of the 1997 Israeli film The 92 Minutes of Mr. Baum, written and directed by Assi Dayan. The film had a limited theatrical and VOD release on May 23, 2014. Henry Altmann (Robin Williams) is stuck in Brooklyn traffic while on his way to a meeting. His car is suddenly struck by a taxi, which propels him into a rage which he unleashes upon the taxi driver. Henry goes to the Brooklyn hospital where Doctor Sharon Gill (Mila Kunis) is covering for Henry’s usual doctor. After taking scans of his brain, Sharon informs Henry that he has a brain aneurysm and his outlook is not good – he is a ticking time bomb, and any rise in his blood pressure could make it worse. Henry erupts, throwing insults at Sharon and demanding that she tell him how long he has to live. She tries to dodge the question, but Henry is persistent. Sharon begins to panic and blurts out the first thing that comes to mind: ninety minutes. Sharon talks with another doctor and realizes the consequences of her actions; the way she treated Henry will surely get her fired and have her license revoked. Sharon resolves to find Henry and put him into immediate care. Henry arrives at Altmann, Altmann & Altmann, the family law firm, and storms into a meeting his brother Aaron (Peter Dinklage) is conducting with several older clients. He tells the room that he has a client with only ninety minutes to live, and asks them what they would do with such little time to live. After receiving advice that they would go home, make love to their wife and die in her loving arms. Henry decides to run home to see his estranged wife, Bette (Melissa Leo). Meanwhile, Sharon learns Henry’s case is serious enough that he could potentially drop dead at any minute. Sharon arrives at Henry’s office where she tells Aaron of his brother’s diagnosis and they leave to search for Henry. Henry arrives home with a bouquet of flowers for his wife, but they end up getting in a heated argument with Henry storming out. Meanwhile Henry makes more stops on his quest for redemption, including attempting to visit his son, Tommy. Henry disapproved of his son’s choice to become a professional dancer, which has damaged their relationship. Sharon is still wandering the streets looking for Henry. She finally receives information that Henry is headed towards the Brooklyn Bridge. Sharon races to the location and discovers Henry getting ready to walk a suspender cable with the intent on jumping into the East River. Sharon apologizes for her earlier behavior and admits she has no idea when he might die, that ninety minutes was just an arbitrary number that popped into her head. Henry is angry but Sharon explains that her career and by extent her life will be over if he jumps but nonetheless Henry still leaps off the bridge. Sharon sprints down to the river under the bridge, and sees Henry in the water. She leaps into the icy water after him and drags him to shore. Henry is no longer as angry and is just exhausted. He focuses on the fact that he still has time to set things right with his loved ones. Checking Sharon’s watch, he sees he has only nineteen minutes until his supposed time of death. Sharon is determined to help him find his son within this time, and helps him up. Sharon hails a cab, unbeknownst to her, this is the same cab that hit Henry that morning. The taxi driver and Henry begin to argue and fight, but Sharon comes between the two men with a bottle of pepper spray, momentarily blinding the driver so that the pair can take off in his cab. Blended is a 2014 American romantic comedy film directed by Frank Coraci and written by Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera. Starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore with an ensemble cast featuring Bella Thorne, Emma Fuhrmann, Terry Crews, Joel McHale, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Kevin Nealon, and Shaquille O’Neal, the film was released on May 23, 2014. Blended marked the third romantic comedy collaboration between Sandler and Barrymore, following The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. Coraci also previously directed Sandler and Barrymore in The Wedding Singer. It also marked Sandler’s first role in a Warner Bros. film. Lauren Reynolds (Drew Barrymore), a divorcee, who has two sons, Brendan (Braxton Beckham) and Tyler (Kyle Red Silverstein), meets Jim Friedman (Adam Sandler), a widower with three daughters, Hilary (Bella Thorne), Espn (Emma Fuhrmann), and Lou (Alyvia Alyn Lind) on a blind date. The date ends in disaster due to conflict between Jim’s clumsy and careless attitude and Lauren’s perfectionist nature. Later, Jim and Lauren run into each other at a pharmacy. Afterwards, Jim realizes that their credit card charges were mixed up and goes top Lauren’s house. There, he and Lauren learn that Lauren’s friend Jen (Wendi McLendon-Covey) has broken up with her boyfriend, who happens to be Jim’s boss, and that they will no longer be going on a planned African vacation together. Unbeknownst to each other, Jim and Lauren both arrange to go on the pre-booked vacation with their families. When they arrive in Africa the two families are surprised to see each other. Things get more awkward when Jim and Lauren are given a romantic suite. The families are put together for a “blended familymoon”, where they get together with other couples, including the oversexed Eddy (Kevin Nealon) and Ginger (Jessica Lowe), as well as Eddy’s teenage son Jake (Zak Henri), who Hilary develops a crush on at first sight. The kids make an awkward impression with each other, with Brendan calling his mom “hot,” and the others not knowing how to react to Espn acting like her mom is there with her. Over time, they begin to bond with each other and each other’s parents. Jim makes the boys happy by helping them with adventurous sports, while Lauren takes care of the girls, and helps Hilary to change her tomboy look into a more feminine one. Jim and Lauren warm up to each other as time passes. They inadvertently get together for a couples massage and have fun with each other. On the last night of the trip, Lauren puts on a beautiful black dress that she admired earlier. She wears it that evening and receives admiration from everyone. While the children are pulled away for a kids-only buffet, Jim and Lauren are sat down for a romantic dinner, which Lauren soon discovers was actually planned by Jim specifically for her. They chat briefly about basic parenting techniques and then pull in for a kiss; however, at the last second, Jim pulls away, apologizing and explaining that he “can’t do it”. After returning home, Jim realizes he misses Lauren and that he’s fallen in love with her. Although Espn is not fully ready to move on from her mother’s passing, she also doesn’t want her dad to lose Lauren. At the kids’ behest, Jim goes to Lauren’s house to give her flowers, only to find Mark there, pretending to be back with Lauren. Tyler gets excited to see Jim and wants to play ball, but Jim sadly leaves and Mark bails on his son again. Mark later tries to make a move on Lauren, but she refuses since he has continuously failed to be a good father, as well as having an affair with his receptionist during their marriage. That following Saturday, Lauren and Brendan go to support Tyler at his game, along with Jen, Dick and his kids. Mark, once again, is a no-show. Jim and his daughters arrive to show encouragement, inspiring Tyler to hit the ball. Foxcatcher is a 2014 American biographical drama film, directed by Bennett Miller, starring Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo. The screenplay was written by E. Max Frye and Dan Futterman. It competed for the Palme d’Or in the main competition section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, where Miller won the Best Director Award. The story of Olympic Wrestling Champion Mark Schultz and how paranoid schizophrenic John du Pont killed Schultz’s brother, Olympic Champion Dave Schultz. Director Bennett Miller began developing the project in 2006. Megan Ellison is co-financing the film with Sony Pictures Classics, and producing alongside Miller and Anthony Bregman for her company, Annapurna Pictures.[4] Sony Pictures Classics will distribute the film[5] From left: Producers Jon Kilik and Megan Ellison, Mark Ruffalo, Channing Tatum, director Bennett Miller, and Steve Carell at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival Shooting began in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area on October 15, 2012, near Sewickley, Pennsylvania, including Sewickley Heights and Edgeworth.[6] An 1899 Sewickley Heights mansion, Wilpen Hall, served as the location for du Pont’s Philadelphia estate, named Foxcatcher Farm.[7] Filming also took place in Rector in Ligonier Township, McKeesport, White Oak, and Connoquenessing.[8][9][10] The production sought permission to shoot in West Mifflin Middle School in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.[11] In December 2012, shooting took place in Washington, Pennsylvania, Trinity High School, the Petersen Events Center in Oakland, and the California University of Pennsylvania Convocation Center.[12][13][14][15] Filming was scheduled to last through January 2013.[6] Exterior scenes were also filmed at Morven Park, an estate in Leesburg, Virginia. The Rover 2014 Movie Storyline/Plot

The Rover is a 2014 Australian drama film written and directed by David Michôd and based on a story by Michôd and Joel Edgerton. It is a contemporary western taking place in the Australian outback, ten years after a global economic collapse. The film features Guy Pearce, Robert Pattinson, and Scoot McNairy with Anthony Hayes, Gillian Jones, Susan Prior, Nash Edgerton, David Field and Tawanda Manyimo. It premiered out of competition in the Midnight Screenings section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival on 18 May 2014. The film screened at the 2014 Sydney Film Festival on 7 June 2014, followed by the theatrical release of film in Australia on 12 June 2014. It had a limited release on 13 June 2014 in New York City and Los Angeles before expanding wide on 20 June 2014 in the United States. 10 years after a global economic collapse, people from many different races have moved to Australia and the American dollar is the most common currency. After a robbery gone wrong, Archie (David Field), Caleb (Tawanda Manyimo) and Henry (Scoot McNairy) flee, leaving behind Henry’s injured brother Rey (Robert Pattinson). While driving away, Archie mocks Rey and Henry attacks him, causing Caleb to crash. When they cannot start the car, Archie steals the car belonging to mysterious loner Eric (Guy Pearce). Eric manages to start the getaway vehicle and follows them. After a brief chase, Archie stops and Eric confronts them. When Eric tries to attack Archie, Henry knocks him unconscious with a shotgun. Eric wakes up and drives his new car into town, where he wanders into several establishments, asking if they have seen the men. He goes to an opium den, where he finds a dwarf and two Chinese acrobats from a travelling circus in the backroom. Eric follows the dwarf to his trailer, where he offers Eric a gun for US$300. Eric shoots the dwarf in the head and leaves. After another confrontation with the opium den’s owner, he walks back to his truck and finds Rey, who asks why he is in Henry’s car. Eric asks Rey where Henry is, but Rey faints. After seeking help from a shopkeeper, Eric takes Rey to a doctor (Susan Prior), who performs surgery on him. The next day, Eric sees two cars approaching in the distance and takes the doctor’s rifle. He kills one of the drivers and his passenger, the Chinese acrobats seeking revenge. Another acrobat goes to investigate and is shot by Eric, who leaves with Rey. Eric and Rey stay at a motel in an almost-abandoned town. While Eric sits outside, Rey takes Eric’s gun and sees an Army truck driving down the street. He takes cover behind a bed and hears someone attempting to enter the room from outside. He shoots through the door and is shocked to find he has killed the daughter of the motel’s owner. He is then shot at by a soldier (Nash Edgerton). Eric comes to the rescue, killing the soldier and driving away from the scene. While camping near an abandoned mine, Eric is arrested by a soldier (Anthony Hayes). At a small Army base nearby, he learns he is being deported to Sydney. Eric tells the soldier that he killed his wife after learning she had an affair, but the soldier ignores him. When the soldier hears gunfire, he goes to investigate but is killed by Rey, who has broken into the base to rescue Eric. Eric and Rey arrive at the town where Henry and the gang are hiding. They find Eric’s car outside a house and break in. Eric holds Archie and Caleb at gunpoint, while Rey goes to confront Henry. After an argument, they shoot at each other: Rey misses, but Henry shoots Rey in the throat. Eric kills Archie and Caleb, before walking into Henry’s room and finding Rey’s corpse. He shoots Henry in the chest and burns the bodies. Later, Eric pulls to the side of the road in his car. It is revealed that he has been obsessed with finding his car because the body of a dead dog is in the trunk. The movie ends with Eric preparing to bury the dog. (Source: Wikipedia)

Million Dollar Arm is a 2014 American biographical sports drama film directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay written by Tom McCarthy. The film is based on the true story of baseball pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel who were discovered by sports agent J.B. Bernstein after winning a reality show competition. The film stars Jon Hamm as Bernstein, Bill Paxton as pitching coach Tom House, Suraj Sharma as Singh, Madhur Mittal as Patel, and Alan Arkin. The film's music is composed by A.R. Rahman. Produced by Joe Roth, Mark Ciardi, and Gordon Gray for Walt Disney Pictures, the film was released theatrically on May 16, 2014. American sports agent J.B. Bernstein and his partner Ash are struggling to acquire new talent. They learn of an Asian businessman, Chang, looking to invest in Asian-based athletes. In a moment of inspiration while watching Britain's Got Talent and a cricket match, Bernstein comes up with an idea to tap into the Indian cricket market, through a contest called Million Dollar Arm, which will identify the best Cricket bowlers and bring them to the US for a chance to get a major League baseball contract. They pitch the idea to Chang, who buys it and gives them a year to deliver results. Bernstein goes on a weeks long trip throughout India, during which he finds two young suitable candidates, and brings them back for training in the US, along with a prospective Indian coach. The young players struggle to learn the game, and initially fail at impressing Major League Baseball scouts during a try-out. Bernstein's tenant and love interest, Brenda, convinces him that he owes the athletes another chance. How to Train Your Dragon 2 2014 Movie Storyline/Plot

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated action fantasy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox, loosely based on the book series of the same name by Cressida Cowell. It is the sequel to the 2010 computer-animated film How to Train Your Dragon and the second in the trilogy. The film takes place five years after the first film, featuring Hiccup and his friends as young adults. The film is written and directed by Dean DeBlois, and stars the voices of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller and Kristen Wiig with the addition of Cate Blanchett, Djimon Hounsou and Kit Harington. The film was released on June 13, 2014, and received positive reviews. As of August 24, the film grossed over $585 million, making it a huge box office success. A third film in the series, titled How to Train Your Dragon 3, is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2016. Five years after the Viking village of Berk has made peace with the dragons, dragons now live amongst the villagers as working animals and companions, and even take part in racing sports. Hiccup goes on adventures with his dragon, Toothless, as they discover and map unexplored lands and territories. Having come of age, he is being pressed by his father, Stoick the Vast, to succeed him as chieftain, although Hiccup remains unsure if he is ready for this responsibility. While investigating a wildfire, Hiccup and Astrid discover the remains of a fort encased in a colossal blue ice formation and encounter a dragon trapper named Eret, who blames them for the destruction of his fort and attempts to capture their dragons for an insane conqueror called Drago Bludvist. The two riders return to Berk to warn Stoick about the dragon army that Drago is amassing, and Stoick orders the villagers to fortify the island and prepare for battle. Stoick explains that he once met Drago at a gathering of chiefs and found him to be an unreasonable madman, but Hiccup refuses to believe that war is inevitable.
